(Christopher Chung/ The Press Democrat) Man stabbed outside Santa Rosa’s Coddingtown Mall A 36-year-old Texas man believed to be homeless was stabbed in the chest Thursday evening outside Coddingtown Mall, marking a brazen, apparently targeted attack during a busy shopping hour for the retail center. The incident was reported at 6:44 p.m. at the parking lot outside Macy’s, Sgt. Tommy Isachsen said. The parking lot was busy at that hour with people coming and going, and several patrons flagged down officers #mobile refuelling arriving to investigate, according to police. Officers found a victim leaning against a parked car, bleeding from his upper torso, Isachsen said. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. An investigation found he and a suspect arrived in separate cars, parked close to each other and had a confrontation during which he was stabbed at least once. The stabbing was believed to have been targeted, Isachsen said.
